About the University

Welcome to The Islamic University in Turkey

We are a group of academic scholars from Al-Azhar University and other academic institutions, representing multiple nationalities. We work at several universities in different Arab and European countries.

Guided by our mission to serve Islamic knowledge and disseminate it through a sound and rigorous academic approach, we have established an Islamic university whose main headquarters is located in the Republic of Turkey, and we have chosen for it the name:

Islamic University in Turke This is under the supervision of Professor Dr. Omar bin Abdulaziz Al-Qurashi, former Professor and Head of the Department of Doctrines and Religions at the Faculty of Islamic Da‘wah, Al-Azhar University, and President of the Islamic University in Turkey.

The University also has a branch in the United Kingdom and another branch in the West Africa region. The University adopts online and distance learning as its primary mode of study, in order to expand access to education and facilitate learning for students from all parts of the world.

The University aims to disseminat Islamic knowledge to Muslims in general, and to new Muslims in particular, through specialized academic programs and modern electronic learning platforms that meet the requirements of contemporary education. The University works to develop and update academic curricula, deliver academic programs at various levels of study, supervise the educational process, and award academic degrees in accordance with approved academic standards.

The Islamic University in Turkey aspires to be a leading center for Islamic knowledge, and an academic institution distinguished in providing Islamic education, as well as educational and research services, following a sound scientific approach that meets contemporary requirements and serves students from around the world.

University Mission

The Islamic University in Turkey aims to graduate qualified scholars who contribute to the call to Allah and to academically and scientifically prepare researchers, while facilitating access to Islamic knowledge for learners through online learning. The University also works on developing students’ research skills and enhancing their scientific and practical abilities in a way that meets contemporary requirements and contributes to enriching the academic and cultural community.

1. The University accepts students of both genders, without restrictions on age or nationality.
2. A flexible distance learning system allows students to pursue Islamic knowledge easily, without the need for in-person attendance.
3. Instruction is provided in Arabic, the language of the Holy Quran.
4. A dedicated department for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers supports students in understanding the academic curricula.
5. Degrees are recognized and equated with those of accredited Preachers’ Training Institutes, ensuring academic credibility.

The Islamic University in Turkey follows a distance learning system and holds a number of international accreditations and recognitions that firmly establish the credibility of its degrees as a private university.
University Accreditations in the United Kingdom:

The Islamic University in Turkey maintains strong academic partnerships with several officially recognized universities approved by their respective Ministries of Higher Education:

• Université Afrique Française-Arabe – Mali, accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education in Mali.
• Université Kaat International – Niger, accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education in Niger.
• Safana International University – Somalia, accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education in Somalia.

Based on these accreditations and partnerships, students can have their degrees certified and recognized by multiple authorities, according to their preference:
